On the last Saturday of every month, I will be leading a Yoga Nidra practice instead of my regular Prana Flow class at The Healthy Joint. With the systematic practice of Yoga Nidra, your true nature and integrity manifest, enabling you to live in peace.
The class will begin with restorative postures and a gentle flow to warm up the body that focus on breath, body and mind, followed by a Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is practiced in a simple posture Savasana (corpse pose) and follows the verbal instructions of an instructor, which include Sankalpa—Resolve, body scan, breath awareness and visualizations. Yoga nidra means “sleep with trace of awareness”, it is an ancient technique for complete relaxation of physical, mental and emotional layers of oneself. It is state of consciousness in which you are neither asleep, nor awake or dreaming, neither you are concentrating nor being hypnotized rather in a state of deep and complete relaxation!
All levels are welcome. Please wear layered and comfortable clothing.
