From the beginning, I immediately connected to the practice of yoga. I first started practicing Hatha Yoga almost 20 years ago! Five years ago, I became more interested in other mindfulness practices such as meditation and pranayama. My desire to deepen my practice led me to the training studio, Yoga Therapy Toronto, where I received my 300hr yoga teaching certification. This extensive teaching training program is rooted in the holistic tradition of Yoga and Ayurveda, and is based on the lineage of T. Krishnamacharya and his son TKV Desikachar, along with an integration of western Psychology and Therapy. I have also received my Kids’ Yoga Teacher Training certification from Bee Birch Yoga Therapy.
The style of yoga I teach is Hatha. I teach and practice traditional, balanced yoga postures that focus on breath, body and mind. Under my safe guidance, I help my students relieve symptoms with a mindfulness approach to yoga. My classes explore healthy movement and alignment of the spine and joints. The yoga sequences are arranged with purpose and offers adaptation that allow both experienced students and newcomers to work at their own speed.
I continue to grow every single day through practice and study of yoga philosophy, meditation, mindfulness, and anatomy.
